Lombok, 2016

Finally, a family vacation! This is a long overdue post, but here’s how I celebrated my Christmas in 2016! Here’s to a great start for 2017. Sorry for the long hiatus, I have been quite troubled with thoughts and life just caught up to me.

New Years Resolution: Try to blog more!

We had a pleasant stay at Katamaran Resort. The staffs are friendly and are always ready to help. Our church friends joined us during this trip, therefore making it memorable.

We left for Lombok on Christmas Eve.

The view from my hotel room. Our hotel room faces directly the sea. Waking up to this view is amazing!

Before lunch affairs. We had to find our angles. Meet Tiffany!

Beachside selfie. We got it!

Overall, the trip was well planned. I had a great time even after knowing I would come back before my exams. I got a nice tan that stayed till now! These are the highlights of my trip. I hope you’ve enjoyed my photos!

Velvet Vanity’s Libra Baby

I’m so glad I finally got a chance to try it out! Introducing Velvet Vanity, an independent Malaysia based make up label. Congrats to Adlina for making all this happen! I got them in the shade Libra Baby cause I was looking for a nude lipstick! Honestly, I was never a fan of matte lipsticks, but this blew my mind away!

The formula is very creamy, which is great for application. Not to mention, it smells like cocoa butter & it suits my skintone! ((NO FILTERS))

They currently have 3 colours, Libra Baby, Slamberry and Bloodwasted. Libra Baby is a cool toned pink beige that rocks as a nude lipstick!

I’m honestly in awe! This product is definitely my go to lipstick at the moment! I would love to try more colours soon! They are 100% vegan and have never been tested on animals.

Babyface Eyebrow Pencils – Thoughts?

Hey there readers, I have an addiction for Kbeauty. So this week i will be feauturing Babyface Natural Eyebrows. Not going to lie, I was pretty excited to get these products. I got them from Hermo out of instant gratification.

What shocked me the most was the price! I believe this was just RM 13.90. Hermo also had a promotion of buy 2 and get free postage for this item. So knowing me, i had to get both to get my money’s worth!

These took about 2 weeks to arrive. (It was such a long time, honestly worth the wait) — I hate ordering Preorder as it takes too long to arrive. But nevertheless, I was being very patient with this eyebrow pencil.

I decided to give this flat angled eyebrow pencil a go because I have very sparse eyebrows (Chinese heritage). Words cant tell how excited i was to try this product.

It comes with a spoolie to blend your eyebrows out. Its very nice and soft. Blends out evenly, which is great!

I got these in shade 02 (dark brown) & shade 04 (grey brown).

My thoughts:- I was really hopping that the eyebrow pencil would be smoother to apply, I guess that did made me a little disappointed cause it isn’t very pigmented. It takes many strokes and shaping to get it on. I’m not sure if its because I do not put on primer or foundation. But I’ll give it a try again.

I prefer the dark brown over the grey brown cause the dark brown looks more natural on me.

Innisfree Haul 2.0

Hello again!

We are back for the second Innisfree Haul! I cant describe how much love I have for Innisfree! This time I got the Orchid Collection & the  Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam.

DSC08788.JPGI wasn’t too sure of which cleansing wash I was aiming for as there were too many options.  The Green Tea Cleansing foam was tempting but I thought since I already have the green tea seed serum and green tea fresh cream, I decided to opt for another option! I decided to go for the  Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam @ RM 32. It is said that this scrub foam is made with Jeju volcanic scoria to absorb sebum and purifies clogged pores.

My thoughts: I quite like the smell of the cleansing foam and the texture. I have extremely sensitive skin and it did not cause any breakouts on my face.

Next, I bought the Orchid Enrichment Cream. I tried out the sample by the sample kit for new members from Innisfree, from that I fell in love with the texture. So I decided to splurge a little on this!
The packaging looks like this! It also comes with some free samples (yay! For traveling, of course!)
The cream makes my face feel and smell so good!

My thoughts: After I have been using this during the day time, I did find my face a little oily when compared to when i was using the green tea fresh cream. So I decided to use this cream during the night only.

I can’t get over the fact of how good it smells.

Too Faced – First Impressions

Hello everyone! Today I’m going to be sharing my thoughts on Too Faced. They have super cute packaging and the colours are super pigmented. I was sad i wasnt able to purchase more items from Too Faced, but I would love to know what else is recommended.

I bought 2 items during the Sephora 20% sale off, hence the products were good buys! I managed to grab the Too Faced Natural Eyes Pallete and the Too Faced Sweetheart Blusher in Perfect Flush Pink. I would lie if i said that the packaging did not tempt me.

1. Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush

This blusher smells like sparkling peaches to me, and it is a warm bronzy and peach tone. It would rock as an highlighter, bronzer and blusher at the same time! I’ve been eyeing for this for the longest time, so I decided to splurge a little to get this.

2. Too Faced Natural Eyes Neutral Eye Shadow Collection

This palette is for eyeshadow dummies like me. To be frank, this is my first eyeshadow palette I decided to impulse purchase. The colours are warm and neutral which is suitable for every occasion. It comes with 3 different settings with 3 other colours to achieve the smoky eye look. It is cute, compact and easy to bring around because it has a mirror and its small. The colours are pigmented so its easy application. My favourite shade would be the whole classic collection : Silk Teddy, Push-Up and Erotica. Those are my favourite go to make up eyeshadow look.

Innisfree Haul

Hey everyone! Welcome back to my blog. This week i will be featuring a few of the items i recently bought from Innisfree. Everyone has definitely been on the hype of Korean K-beauty hauls, so I decided to test them out. I wasnt going to recommend you guys something I do not believe in. I decided to test these products out for you! These product reviews are 100% based on my opinion. So here goes;

1. Innisfree The Green Tea Seed Serum

This serum is majorly hyped all over social media. So i decided to give this baby a go! From what I’ve understand is, this product would help your skin absorb the moisturiser. The one I’ve purchased was the limited edition “Save the Earth” edition which was a bigger bottle compared to the normal ones.

The Green Tea Seed Serum is infuseted with squeezed green tea and green tea seed from Jeju Island. The smell is very refreshing and it would make your face feel much softer after use. It does not contain any oily residues. Personally, I do not fancy oily serums, because I have oily skin.

2. Innisfree Green Tea Fresh Cream

This moistuizer is also infused with squeezed green tea and green tea seed. However, this is a moisturizer for Oily Skin!

What shocked me the most is the formula is not cream based but it is gel based! This would make oily skin refreshed without leaving any oily residues that would irrated me throughout my day.

3. Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water

This is by far the best cleansing water I’ve used so far. I prefer cleansing waters because it does not leave any oily residues. It does not 100% remove all make up because it is not for heavy duty usage. Simple eyebrows & foundations makeup will do the trick!

After using this product, you may feel free to use another cleaning foam to wash off all excess make up on your face.

Items bought from Sunway Pyramid.
